Nanaimo Open House: Sunday March 18th

Let the good times begin! Motocross season is upon us once again, and this year promises to be great!

The Nanaimo Motocross Association is pleased to invite you to our annual 'Open House' this weekend, Sunday March 18th, at 'The Wastelands'. The track will officially open at 10:00, but you're welcome to come early.

We have extended our pre-season membership pricing so that you can still save $25 by purchasing your membership this weekend. Members ride for free! Non-members can ride all day for a $20 donation to the club. Thanks to a light winter and the fantastic work of volunteers Craig Weme, Dave Martell, and Frank Syrotuck, the track looks better than I can remember it ever looking this time of year.

We will also have the grand unveiling of our brand new Mini-Track (built by Bradley Excavating and Talboys Contracting) at around 11am. The Mini Track looks phenomenal! It makes you want to ride, whether you are 11 or 41! The mini-track is free during the Open House to everyone, members and non-members alike, but only if you're on a small wheel bike!

Bruce Donaldson (and possibly Ryan Lalonde) will be on hand offering clinics at various times through-out the day. The clinics are offered by donation, but Bruce and the Lalondes will be holding a full scale school later in the summer.

You can get all the information on the upcoming VIMX/CMRC series schedule, NMA Special Events, take in a tire changing clinic by club President Mark Swanwick (even have him put your new race rubber on for you!), or have an economically priced,  freshly BBQ’d burger or hotdog at the concession stand.

We will also continue to make provisions for our annual 'Swap and Shop'. A table will be available for you to turn your used parts and equipment into cash!

So come on out and see everyone, and how great the track looks! Remember, this is your track!
